Prospect House is located in Bridgeport. The program provides emergency shelter and scattered site housing for people who are homeless and living with HIV/AIDS. Prospect House also operates a sixteen bed permanent supportive housing complex called Seaview Apartments. Seven fully furnished, HUD subsidized apartments are available to individuals who are homeless, living with co-occurring disorders including those with HIV/AIDS.
Prospect House Shelter offers emergency shelter to thirty-two single adults each night. Services provided include on-site psychiatric, medical and substance abuse services, and extensive life skills training. Prospect House also offers a comprehensive residential case management program to residents. Recovery and Twelve Step meetings are held weekly. House meetings and recreational activities are held during the week and on weekends. Various groups are held daily (e.g., Men’s Group, Employment Group, Women’s Group, etc.).
The Prospect House Shelter serves single men and women who are homeless and may be infected with HIV/AIDS. Residents are not required to be free of substances upon admission.
