Located in Bridgeport, Catholic Charities’ scattered site housing program provides housing subsidies to individuals and families in the Greater Bridgeport area.
The scattered site housing program provides subsidized housing and case management to individuals and families who are living with HIV/AIDS. Program participants are referred to a variety of service providers in the Greater Bridgeport area who offer support groups, vocational and employment services, substance abuse/mental health services, and medical services. Residents also have access to mental health and psychiatric services through Catholic Charities.
The scattered site housing program provides services to individuals and families living with HIV/AIDS. At least one household member must be HIV+ or diagnosed with AIDS. The total household income must be at 250% or below the federal poverty level. There must be a desire and ability to live independently and a willingness of all household members to cooperate with case managers in: a) identifying issues and needs; b) planning ways to address them; c) engaging in appropriate available community resources.
