General Purpose of Agency:

EPIC is an online resource offering free employability and soft skills courses to prepare for finding and keeping a job in Connecticut. EPIC courses can be accessed from any computer.

Specific Activities of Interest to Persons Living With AIDS:

Free interactive on-line courses are available for job seekers with barriers to employment. There are modules specifically designed for people in recovery, modules geared toward re-entry, and modules for job-seekers with a spotty employment history.

For facilitators there is information in the Facilitator Guide about Evidence-Based Supported Employment, Motivational Interviewing, and Supporting Job Seekers through Stages of Change.

What you can expect:

EPIC course content is spoken as well as written, designed to be interesting and fun to complete. Each course is divided into modules that take varying amounts of time to complete; and each module has a post test and a certificate upon completion.

EPIC (the Employment Practices Improvement Collaborative) has interactive on-line courses and resources for people encountering barriers to employment, and the people who support them.
